Thermal Arc

Fertilla offers coatings with ARCSPRAY. ArcSpray process uses two wires electrically charged, one positive ( + ) the other negative ( – ). They are positioned so that when fed together, an arc (ionized path) is formed between the two wires. Compressed air atomizes the molten metal and propels the particles forward at very high velocity. Upon impact, the molten particles fuse to the base metal and flatten out to form a very dense layer. Additional layers can be added to achieve the desired thickness. The coatings can be finished by machining or grinding or used in the as sprayed condition.

ARCSPRAY can be used for the following applications:
  • Carbon steel
  • Cast iron
  • Aluminum
  • Stainless steel
  • Corrosion resistant metals
  • High carbon steel
  • Hard alloy steels
  • Hard stainless steels
The ARCSPRAY is also the most practical method to salvage worn, or mis-machined parts such as:
  • Electric motor shafts
  • Bell housings
  • Pump housings
  • Impellers
  • Pistons
  • Spindles
  • Hydraulic rams
  • Seal areas
  • Molds
  • Patterns
  • Fixtures weldments
  • Rolls
  • Shafts and much more

ARCSPRAY it, and send it out the door! Unlike flame wire or flame powder coatings, ARCSPRAY coatings are FUSION BONDED to the base metal. This bond means no more flaking or cracking and no more doing it over. Contact us, and do it once with ARCSPRAY technology!
